University of Ladakh, Leh Campus Celebrates World Bicycle Day with “Sunday on Cycle” Rally The University of Ladakh, Leh Campus, celebrated World Bicycle Day today on 1st June, 2025 with a spirited “Sunday on Cycle” rally as a part of nationwide fitness movement launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The event was enthusiastically attended by students and faculty members, demonstrating their commitment to health, sustainability, and national pride. The cycle rally was graced by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University of Ladakh, Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Sonam Joldan, and Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Jigmat Dachen. The Vice Chancellor officially flagged off the rally and also actively participated, cycling alongside students and faculty. The rally commenced from the Administrative Campus, proceeding along the Leh-Srinagar Highway and the Open Rock Art Museum, before concluding at the University’s main gate. The theme for this year’s rally was the “Tiranga Rally,” symbolizing respect and gratitude towards the Indian Army for their unwavering service to the nation.
